America´s incredible hockey history comes to life like never before in "The Hall," a wonderful new book chronicling the history and heroes of the United States Hockey Hall of Fame. One of our country´s greatest treasures, the U.S. Hockey Hall of Fame has come a long way since its inception back in 1973, up in Eveleth, Minnesota - a small iron-ore mining community which has long been considered to be the "Capital of American Hockey." As we begin this new millennium, there have been just 122 proud inductees who have had the honor of being enshrined into the U.S. Hockey Hall of Fame, truly making it one of North America´s highest sporting pedigrees. In addition to several features about the history of the game as it evolved from its early roots, the "Hall" is loaded with countless biographies of our nation´s most storied players, coaches, referees, builders and administrators. Tales of great games, insightful quotes and humorous anecdotes dot the canvas of this epic tale. From Frank Brimsek to Lou Nanne, and from Herb Brooks to Neal Broten, the book is a venerable "who´s-who" and "what´s-what" of American hockey. Finally, we are also very proud to announce that all of the proceeds from this book will go directly towards the advancement and betterment of our U.S. Hockey Hall of Fame. It is a great cause, and will hopefully be just the beginning of a very long and arduous journey, which was also taken many years ago by a couple of other small American sports-crazed towns - which just happened to be located in Cooperstown (NY), Canton (Ohio) and Springfield (Mass.), the homes of the Baseball, Football and Basketball Halls of Fames, respectively. From the Class of 1973 to the Class of 2004, celebrating and honoring the achievements and accolades of the countless men and women who have made the game of hockey what it is today is what this book is all about.
